Last weekend Tim and I took a roadtrip to Alabama to visit my family. We also got to see Steph and Mike which was a super big plus. Here are a couple of pictures.

Update.

16 weeks today. Woot! (Copy catting B.Ferguson.)

21 days until we find out if it’s a boy or girl. Woot!

We’re heading to Alabama this weekend to see my family. WOOOT!

Hi Y’all.

All sorts of stuff.

March 14, 2008

Today I’m just going to write about all sorts of stuff.

Tim’s last day at Virginia Tech was yesterday. He starts his new job next week! He started working in the basement this week framing out the 4th bedroom and a storage closet. We’re going to finish a little bit at a time.

I am LOVING this 70 degree weather! Hopefully there’s no turning back! Spring is on it’s way. Today I am 13 weeks and 2 days prego. Less than 6 weeks until we find out if it’s a boy or girl! We are pretty much set on the girl name we like, but still deciding on a boy name. I’m a little hesitant to share, but I guess we could use some feedback. For a girl we both love Reese Elizabeth. For a boy we have a few that we like: Maddox, Elijah and Aiden (Tris’ choice). Let me know if you have any opinions or suggestions!

I bought two more original nintendo games a couple weeks ago. RBI Baseball and Excite Bike. They bring back LOTS of memories. Tim doesn’t like the baseball one. He says it’s not realistic. I said, this is not an xbox 360.

If anyone is interested we have an 03, white, honda accord for sale. We’re asking $13,900.

Last week Tim and I went to the Virginia Tech basketball game against Wake Forest. Students were on Spring Break so faculty and staff got in free and could bring a guest. We were also given the option to sit wherever we wanted as long as the ticket holders weren’t attending. So we got there pretty early and got some reaallly good seats. It was getting close to half time and the ticket holders of the seats showed up. (by the way, who comes to a basketball game after its halfway over?) Anyway, they booted us out. Off we go to find new seats, in the rafters. Ok, they weren’t that high, but definitely a different angle than we just had. So we’re settled in our new seats and I go get some popcorn and come back. Then a guy gets up from about 6 or 7 seats down and comes over to sit by Tim. He says something like…”This may sound like a crazy question but do you write The Hallway blog?” I think we asked him what he said and made him repeat it. And then I said “Yes!” and started laughing. He recognized me from the pictures on my blog. So he knew I was Emily and he said “And you must be Tim?” This was so funny, random, crazy to me! Anyway, his name is Jeremy and he stalks me reads my blog regularly. Very nice guy! He ended up here from some key words in my blog mentioning the new river valley….i think? He writes the NRV Living Blog. Check it out here. And, it was nice to meet you Jeremy!

A letter.

Dear truck drivers on I-81,

Could you please try to keep your speed more consistent. I keep my cruise set on 70 mph, and I get really irritated when I pass you going up hill 50 mph, and then you pass me right back when you speed up to 85 mph going down hill. It is a never ending cycle every morning from Christiansburg to Roanoke. I pass you, you pass me, I pass you, you pass me.

And then, sometimes when I’m passing you going up hill, just as I’m about to get around you we get to the top of the hill and you speed back up going down hill, so I can never make it around you. This is also very irritating.

I know it’s probably lots of fun to get to go so fast in your big truck. But you really should keep your speed more consistent. I’m warning you. The cop who sits at MM 141 on his motorcycle will get you one of these days. And I’ll just laugh.

End rant.

Sincerely, Emily Hall

Such a cute blob.

It’s like riding a bike.

February 22, 2008

Earlier this week Tim and I went out and bought an FC Twin (new system that plays the original nintendo & super nintendo games). We also bought Mario World for super nintendo. It has Mario 1, 2 & 3 on it. The sweetest games EVER! So we sat down and started playing. It really is like riding a bike. You don’t forget how to play Mario Brothers. Well, Tim did. I pretty much kicked his @$$! I suppose this will be my new favorite past time for a while. It is soooo much fun. super_mario_bros_stage_one.pngsuper_mario_brothers_nes_screenshot2.jpgsuper-mario-bros-2-nes-potion.jpgsuper-mario-bros-3-3.jpg
